English as it is spoken

When English is the tongue we speak
          Why is break not rhymed with freak
Can you tell me why it is 
          Namely is written viz?
Will you tell me why it's true
          We say sew but likewise few
And the maker of a verse
          Cannot match his horse with worse
Beard sounds not the same as heard
          Cord is different from word
Cow is cow but low is low
          Shoe is never rhymed with foe
Think of nose and dose and lose
          And of goose and yet of choose
Think of comb, tomb and bomb
          Doll and roll and home and some
And since pay is rhymed with say
          Why not  paid with said I pray
We have blood and food and good
           Mould is not pronounced like could
Therefore done but gone and cone
          Is there any reason known
Is there  any sensible ground
          To say would for hurt, while string is wound
Do you call it equity
          To say mutton and yet mutiny
Do you think it's really wise
          To speak advertisements if you advertise
So in short it seems to me
           Sound and letters disagree



I found this poem in an old book, I though it might worth sharing.

Hello world!

Hello World!
I must say, I'm new to blogging, this is my first post here on Blogger, which would be nothing more than a greeting message and a prologue preceding the next posts in this blog: "The Z Cosmos".
A while back, the content of ZCosmos was still unclear to me, now and after a relatively short period of contemplation, I've decided that I should put various topics about nothing and everything; say random thoughts, anime updates and other topics that slightly focus on Computer Science, the goal of this blog is not to provide scientific/academic information, it is rather for self-entertainment and to practice my poor skills in blogging since I'm new to that field.
